Your parts come back clean. Edges are smooth, burr-free, and ready to install or assemble. No heat-affected zones means no warping, no hardened edges, and no material properties changed during the cut.
That matters when you’re working with tight tolerances or expensive materials. One bad cut can blow your timeline and your budget. Waterjet cutting removes that risk.
Whether you’re an architect specifying custom metal panels, a contractor managing a complex build, or a designer bringing a concept to life, you need a cutting process that handles intricate shapes without destroying the material. High pressure water cutting does exactly that—across metals, stone, glass, composites, and more. You send us your specs. We cut it accurately, on time, and without the drama.
We operate out of North Valley Stream, NY, serving architects, designers, contractors, and fabricators throughout Long Island and the surrounding tri-state region. We’re not new to this. Our team comes from traditional machining backgrounds, so we understand tolerances, material behavior, and what happens when a job goes sideways.
We run multiple Flow waterjet systems—including the Mach500—with pressure capabilities up to 87,000 psi. That’s not just specs on a page. It’s the equipment that lets us cut through 12 inches of material with the kind of precision you’d expect from a much thinner cut. North Valley Stream sits in the heart of Nassau County, where manufacturing, construction, and design firms need fast, reliable fabrication support. We’re set up to handle that demand, whether it’s a single prototype or a full production run.
You send us your design files—DXF, DWG, or whatever format your CAD software exports. We review the specs, confirm material type and thickness, and load everything into our CNC-controlled waterjet system.
The machine uses a high-pressure stream of water mixed with abrasive garnet particles. That stream exits through a precision nozzle and cuts through your material without generating heat. No flames, no plasma, no lasers. Just water moving fast enough to slice through steel, stone, or glass with tolerances down to ±0.001 inches.
Once the cut is complete, we inspect dimensions and edge quality. Most parts come off the table ready to use. No grinding, no deburring, no secondary finishing unless your application specifically requires it. You get your parts back fast, and they fit the first time. That’s the process—straightforward, repeatable, and designed to keep your project moving.
Ready to get started?
You get material consultation upfront. If you’re not sure whether waterjet cutting is the right process for your application, we’ll tell you. We’ve worked with everything from aerospace-grade aluminum to architectural stone, so we know what cuts clean and what doesn’t.
Custom design support is part of the deal. Bring us a concept, and we’ll help you figure out how to make it cuttable and cost-effective. North Valley Stream’s proximity to New York City means we work with a lot of high-end design firms and contractors who need custom fabrication that doesn’t look like it came off an assembly line.
Turnaround times matter here. Long Island’s construction and manufacturing pace is fast. Delays cost money. We run multiple machines and can prioritize rush jobs when you’re up against a deadline. You’ll also get consistent quality across repeat orders—same tolerances, same edge finish, same reliability every time you send us a file.
We cut metals like aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, and copper. We also handle stone, granite, marble, glass, ceramics, composites, rubber, foam, and plastics. If it’s a material that doesn’t respond well to heat-based cutting methods, waterjet is usually the right call.
The process works on materials up to 12 inches thick. Thicker materials take longer to cut, but the quality stays consistent. There’s no heat-affected zone, so you don’t get warping or changes in material properties. That’s critical when you’re working with expensive or engineered materials where precision matters. If you’re not sure whether your material is a good fit, send us the specs and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Waterjet cutting delivers tolerances as tight as ±0.001 inches. That’s more accurate than plasma and competitive with laser cutting—but without the heat distortion. Lasers can warp thin materials or create hardened edges on certain metals. Plasma leaves a heat-affected zone that often requires secondary grinding or finishing.
Waterjet is a cold-cutting process. The material doesn’t heat up, so it doesn’t expand, contract, or change properties during the cut. That means your parts come out dimensionally accurate and ready to use. For complex shapes, tight inside corners, or intricate designs, waterjet handles details that other methods struggle with. You also get a smooth edge finish that eliminates most secondary operations, which saves time and cost on your end.
Standard jobs typically turn around in 3 to 5 business days, depending on material availability and machine schedule. If you’re working with material we stock or you’re supplying it yourself, that speeds things up. Rush services are available when you’re up against a tight deadline—sometimes same-day or next-day, depending on complexity and current workload.
Prototypes and one-off custom parts usually move faster because there’s no setup for volume production. Full production runs take longer but benefit from economies of scale once the machine is programmed. North Valley Stream’s location gives us access to a strong supply chain across Long Island and the tri-state area, so material sourcing rarely becomes a bottleneck. If you need a firm timeline, send us your specs and we’ll give you a realistic estimate based on current capacity.
We can do either. If you have material on hand or a specific supplier you work with, you can send it to our North Valley Stream shop and we’ll cut from your stock. That’s common with contractors and fabricators who buy in bulk or have specific material certifications they need to maintain.
If you need us to source the material, we can handle that too. We work with metal suppliers, stone yards, and material distributors throughout Long Island and the tri-state area. We’ll factor material cost into your quote so there are no surprises. For architects and designers who are specifying custom work but don’t want to deal with procurement, this option makes the process simpler. Either way, we’ll confirm material type, thickness, and quantity before we start cutting.
No. One of the biggest advantages of abrasive waterjet cutting is the edge quality. Most cuts come off the machine smooth and burr-free, ready for assembly or installation. You’re not grinding, filing, or sanding unless your application has extremely specific cosmetic or functional requirements.
That’s a huge time-saver compared to plasma or torch cutting, which almost always require secondary finishing. The waterjet stream is controlled by CNC programming, so the cut path is consistent and precise. There’s no slag, no dross, and no heat discoloration. For visible parts or assemblies where fit and finish matter, waterjet delivers a cleaner result right out of the gate. If you do need additional finishing—polishing, deburring, or coating prep—we can discuss that upfront, but most customers don’t need it.
Waterjet cutting costs more per hour than plasma or torch cutting, but you’re paying for precision, material versatility, and eliminated secondary operations. When you factor in the time and labor you’d spend grinding edges, fixing heat distortion, or scrapping bad parts, waterjet often comes out cheaper on a per-project basis.
Pricing depends on material type, thickness, cut complexity, and total cutting time. Thicker materials and intricate shapes take longer, which increases cost. But you’re getting a finished part that fits correctly and doesn’t need rework. For high-value materials or tight-tolerance applications, that reliability is worth the investment. We provide upfront quotes based on your design files, so you know exactly what you’re paying before we start. No hidden fees, no surprise charges after the fact.
