Precision waterjet cutting, powered by AI-assisted CAD—serving NY, NJ & CT (and beyond).

Tri-State Waterjet transforms ideas into accurate, production-ready parts. We combine advanced computer‑aided design (CAD) with state‑of‑the‑art waterjet technology to deliver clean edges, tight tolerances, and reliable lead times—without heat‑affected zones.

Our Story

Tri-State Waterjet was born from the real‑world demands of the Action Family of Companies—Action Bullet Resistant, Action Storefronts, and Action Panel Systems. As these brands scaled, we needed a dedicated, high‑precision cutting partner that could handle diverse materials and complex geometries on fast timelines. Tri-State Waterjet was created to meet that need—and now brings the same high standards to manufacturers, architects, fabricators, and makers across the tri‑state area.

What We Do

  • Waterjet Cutting (2D) for metals, plastics, composites, stone/tile, glass, rubber/foam, and more

  • CAD‑to‑Cut: turn sketches or PDFs into optimized, cut‑ready files (DWG/DXF/STEP/IGES)

  • Rapid Prototyping & Short Runs for product development and architectural components

  • Production Programs with repeatable quality and consistent pricing

AI + Waterjet: Accuracy at Scale

We use modern, AI‑assisted digital workflows to improve speed, quality, and material yield:

  • Design Validation: automated checks for geometry, tolerances, and kerf allowances

  • Smart Nesting: AI‑assisted part layout to reduce scrap and lower per‑part cost

  • Toolpath Optimization: adaptive speed/pierce strategies for different materials and thicknesses

  • Predictive Quoting: data‑driven estimates tied to material, complexity, and run size

  • QC Assist: digital inspection and revision tracking for consistent results

Why Waterjet?

  • No Heat‑Affected Zone (HAZ): preserves material properties and surface finishes

  • Material Versatility: from stainless and aluminum to glass, carbon fiber, and stone

  • Edge Quality: satin‑smooth edges that often require little to no secondary finishing

  • Complex Geometry: intricate profiles and fine internal features without warping

Capabilities (At a Glance)

  • Materials: steel, stainless, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium; acrylic/HDPE; carbon fiber/fiberglass; marble/granite/ceramic/porcelain; glass; rubber/foam/gaskets; and more

  • Thickness: from thin sheet to several inches (varies by material)

  • Tolerances: tight, application‑driven tolerances achievable with proper fixturing and programming

  • File Support: DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES, PDF (and we can convert sketches to CAD)

Need exact capacity specs? Send your drawing and material details—we’ll confirm max thickness and tolerance for your part.

The Action Family

While Tri-State Waterjet operates as an independent service provider, we are proud of our origins supporting the Action Family of Companies (Action Bullet Resistant, Action Storefronts, and Action Panel Systems). Each brand remains distinct; Tri-State focuses on precision cutting and CAD services.
